Sona Masuri (also, Sona Masoori or Samba Masuri) is a medium-grain rice grown largely in the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. In Telugu, Sona Masuri rice is called Bangaru Theegalu (meaning Golden Ivy). It is lightweight and aromatic.
